Exploring how art strengthens emotional intelligence and enriches communities.
About Us
We are a multiyear project dedicated to advancing emotional intelligence education through art.
Our work explores the potential impact of emotional intelligence education through art on health outcomes, economic opportunities, and overall quality of life at the community level.
Our Key Initiatives
The ARTEMIS Study
An empirical research initiative coined by Taylor Martin examining the role of art in emotional intelligence (EI) education at a community level.
It explores how structured engagement with artistic expression enhances emotional awareness, resilience, and cognitive flexibility, leading to measurable improvements in public health, economic opportunities, and overall quality of life.
The study incorporates participatory SEL frameworks through workshops and events, providing immersive experiences to particpants.
Workshops & Events
Our workshops and pop-up experiences integrate art and emotional intelligence education.
Events include:
Frames of Mind: A workshop blending photography, storytelling, and dialogue to explore the connection between art and emotions.
Room 528Hz: An immersive community gathering aligning emotional well-being with sonic, sound healing, and heart-centered experiences.
And more!
Research-Driven Action
The project conducts community research through The ARTEMIS Study to assess the state of emotional intelligence and awareness in different regions.
Findings are shared with partners—schools, nonprofits, and local organizations—to amplify impact and co-create solutions.
The ARTEMIS Study Podcast
The ARTEMIS Study Podcast explores emotional intelligence, neuroscience, urban design, economics, and public policy to uncover how societies, cities, and economies function as living, feeling systems.
Through conversations with scientists, urban planners, policymakers, and behavioral economists, we examine how emotionally intelligent design—from architecture to governance—can shape the well-being of individuals and entire communities.
